Education and Schools in Riyadh

► Buy the Saudi Arabia Guide for Kindle or in PDF format

Saudi Arabia's formal centre of commerce and diplomacy, there's a good selection of private international schools in Riyadh.

Expats don't have the option to send their children to public schools in Saudi Arabia. This increases demand at international schools, resulting in limited places and often hefty fees.

It's important that expats apply to several schools as early as possible. Some schools, as often happens with British and American schools, give preference to children of specific nationalities, but most aren't that selective.

A non-refundable application fee is a standard procedure, and some schools require parents to pay an extra seat deposit.
