Background
European School, Frankfurt am Main is one of 13 schools in Europe under the joint control of the government of the member states of the European Union. There are four streams available in ES Frankfurt: German, English, French or Italian. In preschool, there is the additional option of a Spanish stream.
The school's curriculum places a great deal of emphasis on the importance of multilingualism and multiculturalism. Graduating students earn the European Baccalaureate.
The school has around 1,500 students representing 45 different nationalities. The maximum class size is 24 students. Facilities at the school are excellent and include a four-field sports hall, a playground and a sports field for basketball and football.
