I'm trying to look everywhere, but it always says that childcare costs depend on how many hours the child spends there and their age. Could anyone tell me exactly how much fulltime childcare in Dublin would cost? Thanks!

I have an offer from my company in Germany (I'm Spanish) to move to their offices Dublin, but I have a 2-year old boy so I can't just go on any adventures.

I was quoted 1900 for 2 kids in Dublin on my move to Ireland. I made a deal for 1250 part time for 2 kids from 8 - 2:30pm . Most places will charge a months deposit. Between Rent, Groceries, Childcare adn Education, you can barely save anything. Esp. Rent has skyrocketed lately! My colleague from Germany says its much cheaper there for everything.

Dear All, I need a German speaking baby sitter for my kids in Cork, Ireland and I am wondering where can I find one. I need help 2 times a week (2/3 hours a day) in the evenings. I am grateful for any suggestion! Thank you, Victoria

I live in Ireland but do not have direct experience with the childcare system. However, I read the newspapers daily and everything I read says that childcare is expensive. For full time daycare for one child it can be upwards of 900 Euro a month. It is always bein related to the cost of a mortgage. Which, now that property prices are increasing in Dublin, you woulld be hard pressed to find a house to rent or buy and pay only 900 a month. But it is a ballpark figure. Childcare options here are difficult. Please ask for licensing and ensure that it is a qualified creche. It is not heavily regulated by the government so it can be hard to find good, quality childcare.

The cost of childcare is expensive. From all that I have heard, full time childcare in Dublin can average around 900 Euro per month for one child.
