We are a family of four from the UK. My daughters are 9 years old and 3 years old. My husband just got a job as a chef with a resort in Hoi An. Anybody knows whether there is any good international school in the area?

Hey Ruby,

Looks like the only international school in that area is Green Shoots International School (you can visit their website by clicking here). I've browsed around a bit online and it looks like they have a pretty good reputation.

What country are you moving from?

Best of luck with your move!

My daughter goes to Green Shoots International School and she absolutely loves it.

Are you living in Da Nang or Hoi An? Their campus is in Hoi An, but they provide daily bus service between DA nang and Hoi An

Here is their website if you would like to take a look

Green Shoots is an established K-12 school focused on creative teaching and learning. Sustainability and environmental awareness are integrated into its curriculum. All its international teachers hold a graduate or post-graduate degree in teaching. Many also hold specialisations such as reading support, special education needs, and EAL teaching qualifications.

Green Shoots is a member of the Council of British International Schools, which upholds standards among British-curriculum schools overseas, and in 2016 were accredited by Cambridge International Exams, the body that administers its secondary programme and is recognised as the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. Green Shoots is also developing links with Round Square, a group of like-minded schools around the world that develop in their students a shared sense of global outlook, service, and environmental stewardship.

Small class sizes allow teachers to give one-on-one attention to students, supporting each child to his or her potential and preparing them for the complex, global 21st century.

The school operates in English but offers a French Integrated programme to primary-aged learners who enter the school with sufficient fluency. Second/foreign language classes are offered in French, Vietnamese and Mandarin Chinese

Hope that helps :)
