Hi - we are moving to Dubai and want to bring our 2 cocker spaniels out with us. I would be really interested to hear people's views on your experience of not only living in Dubai with dogs but also how you found the transporting of your dogs and if you managed it yourself or used a company to do it for you. Any advice and information would be really appreciated. Thanks Bernie

Hi Shantalie - many thanks for your comment. I have been over to a Dubai for a visit and met with lots of dog owners, I have also found a really good transport company who friends have used so feel in a much better place now :-)

Hi Quinn,

Moving abroad with pets is never easy. Certain breeds of dog are actually banned from entering Dubai, so it is really important that you check regulations before you start the relocation process.

This article on Moving Pets to the UAE might be a interesting read for someone in your position.

Good luck

Would you kindly tell which pet transportation company it is? I have heard that everything else should go fine but after landing Dubai the airport stuff transfering the pet from aircraft to terminal can be professional or .... and if your pet is kept long time in non-aircon space, like the cargo space inside aircraft after the doors are open, health issues may occure.
