Planning on moving to HCMC later this year to work teaching English at a local school. I am really excited, not least because the exotic food they have available.
I am keen to try local food and eat where the locals eat. Can anyone recommend any particular restaurants to me. What are the must-eat local dishes?
Looking forward to hearing your recommendations.
Cheers

Ho Chi Minh City is a food lovers paradise and you can try local cuisine for really low prices. Some say it is cheaper to eat out in Vietnam than it is to cook at home.
Take a look at the Expat Arrivals page on Restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City. It has recently been updated a written up by our expat expert living in HCMC. As well as a list of recommeneded resturants it also discusses Vietnamese dining etiquette.
