Hi everyone, Did anyone in this forum ever applied for Permanent Resident Permit (PRP) at the South African High Commission? If so, do they issue a reference number to trace the outcome of the permit? I am asking because I applied for it from my home country in Lesotho and they could not give me a reference for the application. They said they cannot give me the reference number since the decision is made in Pretoria not from the embassy.

If you dont apply in South Africa itself then you wont get a reference number at all. We applied at a consulate too and also do not have a reference number. Very frustrating but not much can be done.
