Hi there, My husband has been approached by a company in Dubai. We are in the preliminary hiring stage and although we never had consider the expat life, we found ourselves excited at the perspective.

My biggest concern at this point is the political instability when it comes to Iran. So here are my questions, is there such thing as: - a contract clause for repatriation in case of war or neighboring war impacting life in Dubai? - or some sort of repatriation insurance that covers war neighboring war impacting life in Dubai? - for those of you living in Dubai, how is the political instability in the Middle East affecting you if at all? Thank you!

Hi, I've been working with Middle East partners for a long time . I'm a European citizen , mny times traveled and spent time in Dubai Abu-Dhabi. I can tell you I have never experienced any kind of danger during my stays . There are certain rules that you have to respect . None of the expat that I worked with had no clause in care of a war situation, but I guess if they really want you they will put in your contract. By the way are you afraid that they won't release you from under the contract or you afraid that they will "fire" you ? If you are interested about some extra detail please don't hesitate to write me.
