Thanks for answering my last question. I know a lot of people get stars in their eyes about moving to that side of the world, the moment they hear about the big salaries. But I'm a bit more cynical- what are the living costs like in Qatar, especially when compared to a place like Dubai?

Regards,

Hi Dave

The cost of living in Qatar is higher than a lot of people are used to, but at the same time, so are the salaries. It is by no means an uncomplicated paradise and costs are rising but, at least in relation to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the cost of living in Qatar is cheap. Especially when one takes the generally high salaries into account.

Best thing to do, have a look at our Cost of Living in Qatar page, which has recently been updated.

Hope this helps,

Xavier
