Vancouver is a great city for expats to relocate to, boasting a diverse selection of leisure and lifestyle options for people of all preferences to enjoy. Expats will soon discover the wonderful amenities this city has to offer, from excellent restaurants and shopping centres to popular entertainment venues, sports facilities and spas.

Shopping in Vancouver is characterised by a diverse range of quality products. You’ll find everything from haute couture to casuals, as well as jewellery and home accessories in the numerous malls and shopping districts across the city.

Looking for trendy boutiques? Check out Commercial Drive, while Davie Village, in the West End, is the place for great bookshops. Chinatown and Granville Island have some excellent markets, while downtown Vancouver and Gastown have shops with trendy clothes, jewellery, shoes and home wares. The Sinclair and Pacific centres are also worth a stop.
 

Vancouver’s nightlife is extraordinary, with plenty of pubs, clubs and lounges to enjoy. The majority of nightlife venues, from pubs and bars to clubs and discos, are located in the downtown area, while Gastown is also a social hub. The Georgia Straight and the Vancouver Sun carry nightlife and entertainment listings.
