Hello. I have a job offer in Abu Dhabi which is great. However I would like to bring my long term partner over but as we are unmarried I understand this to be a major stumbling block? Even if living in Dubai? Thanks, Greg

Hi Greg

As you should know and will see from our Visas for Abu Dhabi and Culture Shock in Abu Dhabi pages, unmarried people living together is illegally and for the most part socially unacceptable.

If you both went over you would probably have to get separate accommodation.

Hope everything works out for you.

Best of luck,

Xavier
