It's true that demand for compound accommodation in Riyadh often outstrips supply, and most estate holders will want you to sign at least a year lease. That said, don't write the option off until you've put in the effort. If you have western expats coming, they will be much happier in a compound, which means they'll be more productive and will likely do a better job for you.
