Greetings! I'm living in Dammam, KSA and planning to visit Bahrain soon. I have Iqama already but it's single re-entry only. As I could hear there's multiple re-entry visa with 500 Riyals, I'm looking for a way to apply for. Is it possible to do it by myself? Then, how to do?

Hi Shoxwave

While the actual process of getting the visa can be done by you (from what I know) it will still have to be done with the permission of your employer. Employers normally keep their employees' passports, and the iqama is issued to the employee in place of it. You need your passport to leave the country, so your employer would have to approve of your trip.
Many businesses in Saudi Arabia help their employees with these things, which makes it a lot easier.

If you do have to do it on your own, all visas and permits in
Saudi Arabia are issued by the General Directorate of Passports, a department of the Ministry of Interior. A multiple exit visa does cost 500 SAR. According to their website, these are the steps:

  • Fill in the exit re-entry visa form
  • Specify the visa duration
  • The passport and Iqama must still be valid
  • If you are a medical employee, you need an approval letter from Health Affairs
  • The required fees must be paid through an authorised bank

Also have a look at our Visas for Saudi Arabia page, that might be able to help too.

Good luck

Hi Shoxwave

Thank you! Just an update on my answer. I may have underestimated how much your employer has to be involved. The easiest thing to do would be to speak to them.

Otherwise, everything else should be accurate.

Good luck

I wonder if you can assist me?? I'm in KSA on a Family Visit Visa. It's a single entry visa. Is it possible to change this to a multiple entry visa while I am here?
