Hi Khalidsar,

I agree that USD 4,500 is a little bit of a low salary for a computer science engineer with your level of experience.

You should take a look at our article on the Cost of Living in Abu Dhabi and decide on what benefits and salary you would be willing to accept from your employer. Don't be afraid to negotiate. Companies in the Middle East are always on the look out for qualified expats and should be willing to pay decent salaries to those that they really want.

I also think that the Expat Arrivals pages on Contract Negotiation in Abu Dhabi and Employment Packages in Abu Dhabi will be useful to someone in your position.

Best of luck with your negotiations.

All students will have the following benefits: Scholarships/research assistantships, providing full financial support, including all tuition fees, medical insurance, housing, travel expenses, laptops and cost of living allowances; and the allowances are 4000 AED. How will be life there?
