Hi Puneet,

From what you say it seems like your company has already applied for you entry permit into Abu Dhabi. I can't tell for certain how long it'll take for this to get approved but usually you should have an outcome within 30-45 days.

However, this is only the first stage of the process. Once you have received the entry permit, you'll be able to go to Abu Dhabi and then you'll have to have medical tests carried out before you are granted the relavent work permit and residence visa.

Have a read through the Expat Arrival's page on Work Permits for Abu Dhabi and Visas for Abu Dhabi for more information.

Dear Puneet It can take anytime between 1 week to 30 days based on how the paperwork is done and how fast approvals are recieved. When a company applies for a visa it should apply for quota approval first which will take almost 3 days to process. If the company has applied for IT engineer and the labour department feels its already taken or the company does not need an IT engineer, they will reject the application and we need to apply for a new post. It can also be rejected for various other reasons, but once the quota is approved then within 2 to 3 working days we can get the residency visa by paying the bank deposits and visa fees. But give it atleast 2 weeks to 3 weeks to get a visa. IF you have any legal cases against you, then your visa will be rejected. So they are waiting for clearance.

What is the meaning of visa quota?
Meagan on 28 Sep 2016 - 14:58
An e-quota application is one of the first steps in getting a work visa. The e-quota application must be submitted by the employer stating the number of required workers, gender and profession. Once approval is granted (usually within 24 to 72 hours), the work visa application process can continue.
