Do I need working experience to get a job in China?

If you want to work in China, there are two facors you need consider. One is your qualification, the other is employer qualification. If you want to be hired officially in by the employer in China with legal resident permit visa, first of all your job is included into governmental guidelines--those jobs are allowed taken by expats. Second, you must have experience to prove you are qualified in some field. Your question about 2-year experience is concerning this requirement. In china some jobs are forbidden offically taken by expats, e.g. maid and spa technician. Regarding the employer, first of all they should be officially registred, second they should provide sufficient reason to support their application of hiring expats. Normally the small businesses have no chance to hire expats. WFOE, co with big investment, R.O have more opportunities. All in one, the immigration officer will study case by case. I will be moving to Shanghai with my gf whom will be sent there by her company. I am a corporate trainer in Learning & Development, Leadership skills and also an English teacher (though not from US) too. So would it be difficult to find a job in the city? Thanks, IK
