Weekend Breaks in Taipei

One of Taipei’s best assets is the easy access it provides to natural phenomena outside the city. Residents can revitalise in mineral rich hot springs, explore the underwater marine life of the Southern Coast or trek away their stress in the many surrounding mountains.

Regardless of just how you decide to spend your weekend break, Taipei’s efficient public transport system guarantees that your journey will be fast and easy.

For example, the buses that take people up to the Yangming Mountain are very close to the city and if you want to drive to some of the most beautiful beaches, it only takes 45 minutes.

The High Speed Rail (HSR) also allows you to get to the beautiful national park and hot springs in central and southern Taiwan in one to two hours.
