Parents can take their children to the top floor of the Sears Tower (now known as the Willis Tower) for amazing views over the city, while the Field Museum and Chicago Children’s Museum is a must for inquisitive young minds. For a dose of arts and culture, head to the Chicago Children's Theatre where fun and educational shows and events are held.
Children will love a trip to Lincoln Park to meet the gorillas at the Lincoln Park Zoo, as well as the Shedd Aquarium, where kids can see more than 8,000 river, lake and sea creatures.
Six Flags Great America makes a great day out for thrill rides and fun, as does the Navy Pier where kids can enjoy endless hours of entertainment.
