Of course it is far more than sufficient. If you rent a room in Shanghai, that would be 7,000 a month if you have demanding requirements for housing, usually it would be 5,000, and the rest money would be at your mercy. Do you see the point? The rent is the most dear cost. With that salary, You could expect very very comfortable life if

25000RMB per month does not say so much. You have to look at the package. Is your company going to pay your rent. Renting an apartment can easily go up 5000 to 10.000 RMB p month depending on your standards. Than there is the insureance. Is your company going to pay that, or yourself. A good insureance costs around 25000RMB per year. Food locally is very cheap you can have lunch and diner for 50-RMB per day If you only eat western food, this is more expensive than in your home country, count 100-300 RMB for lunch and diner. Transportation is very cheap, bus is 2RMB, subway around 3-5RMB. taxi of course is more expensive with an average costs of 30 RMB for 10Km. 25000RMB before tax is not so much for somebody for 4.5 year experience in Engineering. Besides make use of your position that your are still abroad. Once you are in China the offers will only decrease in salary as, you are more in need. Good luck!
