If you were injured at work, and you are employed. It is mandatory for your employer to sign you up, and to pay for your insurance. There is no rule stating that you should work minimum XX days before you are sick, and is entitled to sick-leave. Your employer is apparantly not serious. If you have any problems, call www.arbeidstilsynet.no (as you know, everyone in Norway speak english). This is the regulatory authorities on all working related regulations in Norway. I am sure they would love to have a talk with your boss. I am not sure it will be served coffee at that meeting... PS: Everyone is entitled to emergency treatment at hospitals and doctors in Norway. However, I am not sure about the bill.
