Hi Prava,

Firstly, I am not aware of there being a document called visit work visa. There is however a business visa, which I assume you are referring to.

This visa is valid for 3 months and you do need a formal sponsor from the company in Saudi Arabia. It is only valid for a single entry into the country. You do need to have obtained this permit prior to travelling to Saudi Arabia.

You will need to check with your local Saudi embassy to see what the latest information on the restrictions of this particular type of visa.

If you plan on working in Saudi Arabia in the long term, you will need a work visa or Iqama and this is granted for the legnth of your contract.

For more information on visas and the necessary check out the Expat Arrivals Visas for Saudi Arabia page.

Hope this information helps. Good luck.

Hello Sir, I am an Indian and got selected as mechanical engineer in reputed saudi construction firm in jeddah b4 4 month? My visa processing is taking lots of time from the day of selection. After a long wait (2 months) I received the offer letter, invitation letter and visa slip copy from the employer. Now I have submitted my degree certificate for saudi embassy attestation which is also getting delay. Please advice whether it is common in saudi jobs. I am also afraid of the validity of my visa. My medical got expired already. Can anyone give me some details on this situation.?????

Allowing for all the checking of certificates etc then 6-8 weeks is not unusual from the time you start the recruitment process.
