I'm a Canadian, and have been working in the UAE, on Mission Visas for the past 6 months. I've recently been asked by my company (our UAE Division) to look into getting a Residency Visa for the UAE, so that we can cut down on the Travel, and the red tape associated with servicing our customers in the entire Middle east. My question is how will a UAE Residence Visa affect my Canadian Citizen Status ?
Will I have to sell off my Canadian assets to do this?
Can anyone point me in the right direction, on how to acquire this information ?
The CRA website is very limited, and vague, at best !
