Does anyone know of a school teaching English in China by the name of Department of Foreign Education Affairs? I have been contacted by them and am trying to establish their legitimacy. With thanks

Hi Karen

I did quite a bit of digging around and there is a high probability that this is a scam. Be very careful about where you post your details on the web - even on some of the more popular China ESL forums.

If this is something you're interested in, have a look at our China guide, paying specific attention to visas, work permits, working and the education system.

Otherwise, see our Expat Experiences in China page, to get some on-the-ground accounts and advice.

Hope this helps.

All the best,

Xavier
