Can someone please tell me what does Health Care cost in Kuwait if you don't have private insurance? Also can someone please let me know if I will be turned away from private Doctors and Hospitals even if I will pay cash? My job is only covering Govt insurance, and I heard that is a nightmare. I'm not really concerned for myself but I have a 2 and a half year old. Someone please let me know!!!

Hi Oha,

It is always best to have a fully-comprehensive health insurance when moving overseas. In Bahrain, it is mandatory for expats to have health insurance.

Expats in Kuwait do have access to public healthcare facillities, but queues are long, as are waiting lists for treatment. If you opt for private care, bear in mind that fees are really expensive so it is even more important to have health insurance.

Healthcare in Kuwait gives you a comprehensive overview of the health matters for expats.

Good luck
