Hi! I am a 29 year old Indian girl and I have recently gotten an offer from an Educational Institute. They are offering me 4000 AED with no accommodation and transportation facility. Can I save money with this salary and live a good life in Dubai? How much will accommodation cost in Dubai? As I am a single girl will I get a home to rent there easily?

In all honesty having lived in the UAE for the last 13 years I think you would have a hard time surviving on that amount of money in Dubai. Accommodation there is expensive and you would be looking at having to share. At the same time you need to think of medical insurance in case you got ill. Travelling around Dubai is relatively cheap thanks to the metro but it all adds up. It depends what you mean by a good life but dont expect much, if any, money left at the end of the month

My husbands salary is 3000 dhm. Where can i get admission for my 8 yrs old kud in uae?

You would be able to put him/her in an Indian school. But with that salary I am not sure your husband would be allowed to sponsor you and your child unless you are working as well. There is a minimum salary that has to be earned before a parent can sponsor their wife/husband and child. You will need to find this out.

Hi there,

There is some information regarding sponsorship requirements on the Expat Arrivals Visas for Dubai page. With regards to schools, please see the Expat Arrivals Education and Schools in Dubai page.

Kind regards
Meagan

Hi there,

To answer this question I need some information from you:

1. What nationality are you?
2. What country are you in?
3. For what purpose are you going to Dubai? (ie what visa are you going to apply for?)

For information on the different types of visas please visit the Visas for Dubai page.

Regards
Meagan

What should be the minimum wage for single people to survive respectfully?
Anonymous (not verified) on 31 Aug 2016 - 07:11
Hi Anonymous, the minimum wage in Dubai for a single expat to survive all depends on your personal lifestyle, and what you feel you need to survive in terms of foods, entertainment etc. I suggest you have a look at our page on the Cost of Living in Dubai, which gives a good breakdown of what you can expect to pay for all your basic goods and services.

I am indian manjeet singh, a pharma company give me offer and i accept the same but after one months company told me during the working visa process reject my application. but what is the reason of rejection
Meagan on 23 Sep 2016 - 10:27
Hi,

A work visa application's approval depends on the documents and info an employer submits as well as the documents and info the employee submits - if there is something wrong with either, the visa will be rejected. For this reason it's difficult to say why your application was rejected. There are very many possible reasons.

You will need to ask the company to find out what reason was given to them by the Ministry of Labour for the rejection.

I've heard bad things about companies asking upfront for money for visa applications. The other day there was someone saying that if they're asking for money it's definitely a scam. You can click here to see that forum post.
