Hi Krishna,

Immigration to Israel is quite tight. It is not really possible to arrive in the country and then seek work.

Most expats that have obtained a worm permit for Israel have done so by being made a job offer by a company that wished to have that person working in Israel. The employer effectivley acts as a sponsor for the expat.

Employers also need to prove that they have tried to employ an Israeli citizen for the position, before they will be granted the work permit to take on an expat.

So, I would advise you to try and find a job before considering the work permit. Once you have a job offer in Israel then you are eligable for a B1-Visa.

It is quite a long, complicated, 4-step process, so get started as soon as possible. Take a look at the Work Permits for Israel page for more information.

You may also want to check out this page on Visas for Israel to see what other options are open to expats.

Good luck.

Hi Krishna, I have a question related to visas in Israel, as I am in a deep complicated situation. Can you please let me know what are the rules in terms of number of entries in Israel being a Tourist? Are there special régulations that have evolved recently? Thanks a lot in advance, regards bbco
