Education and Schools in Singapore

Singapore has many top international schools for its large expatriate population. Demand for them is high, and so waiting lists are long. To ensure a place at a preferred school, it is advisable to make advance arrangements. There is also the option of local schools, with around 22,000 international students currently enrolled throughout these institutions. Preference however is given to Singaporean students, in a country that puts a huge premium on education. Foreign students seeking admission to local schools from Primary 2 to 5 and Secondary 1 to 3 need to undergo a centralised test.

Yearly school fees range from SG$5,000 to SG$19,000.
