Hello!  I'm planning on teaching ESL in Switzerland later this year, and am busy doing all my pre-trip research....

Are there any especially 'good areas' for expats to live in Switzerland?

If you're coming on your own, I would recommend Seefeld which is close to the lake and the shops. If you're bringing your family along with you, I would recommend towns along the Gold Coast such as Küsnacht or Zollikon, or on the Silver Coast such as Kilchberg.

Hope that helps :)

Hi Jewel

Try the Seefeld area (District 8). It's close to shops and the waterfront, and is a 20-minute drive to the Zurich International Airport on a good day. Otherwise the city centre (District 1) is popular with expats for its history and because it's so central.
