hi! im from the philippines. and i want to work in uae? but i am a hepa b carrier? it is possible to work there? i want to apply as a autocad operator! thanks !!

Hi Omelet,

This is a common concern amongst expats moving to the UAE. Here is a previous thread, which effectivley asks the same question.


Although, being a Hep B carrier should only be a problem for those working in fields such as healthcare or food preparation, the fact is that there are many incidences of companies rejecting workers who have Hep B. For this reason, I would advise to check with the company you are applying for a job with. It might also be good to contact an immigration consultant who can tell you the latest information on visas.

ur case in nt accept if u have like that probz ...u must need to take medicine for ur sick if until u need to take ... coz that nt easy past away ur sick u need for pray nt only for medcine

thanks for the response ms. shantalie, a dilemma. i want to work as autocad operator (engineering side) and i know that i may not fall in 6 categories. How true is this? Am still apprehensive on this matter.

Dear Shantalie Today I came to across one of the news that Hep. B is no longer checked by Abu Dhabi Govt, it has been removed from the list for those who felled in the six catagory . It is said by Dr. Salim awadh from UAE.. Dear i just want to conform that whether it has been started in actual practice by UAE govt. Please note I had been rejected only because of carries stage of Hep. B . I am working in refinery. If so can I apply again.

Dear Mam, It is said in the newspaper National/UAE dated 28 July 2013 that no more screening of Hep B for those who are in the six category. I was once rejected by Oil companies in year 2011 january. After reading this article said by Dr Salim Awadh, consultant gastroenterologist at the Advanced Centre for Day Care Surgery, Abu Dhabi., can I again apply for the same. Is this rule has been really started practicing by ABU dhabi Govt. Can I have hopes to work again in Oil companied as refinery production operator. Please tell. Waiting for your reply at the earliest. Your advice mean lots me.
