I've been offered a job in Vienna as a contractor for a couple of years, Ideally I'd like somewhere near the Favoriten area? As that's where my office will be. Can anyone help with websites in English that I can look at flats/apartments to rent without getting charged 'Holiday lettings' rates..? Bruce

Hi Bruce,

I would recommend privatimmobilen as a good source for finding long-term expat rentals in Vienna. There are fees involved but it won't amount to as much as the agents fees you would pay if you hired a private estate agent to assist you.

While there is no Austrian equivalent of Gumtree, you can also use Craigslist to find apartments in Vienna.

For more detailed information on the rental process in Vienna have a look at the Renting a Property in Vienna page.

Hope this helps.

Good luck
