Getting around Saudi Arabia and buying a car

My wife and I are moving to Jeddah in the new year and we're just trying to plan everything. The transport issues is something we're a bit concerned about. I've heard that women are not allowed to drive in Saudi and that the public transport is not great. So how is my wife supposed to get around? I'll be at work all day and she is a stay at home mum. Is she going to be able to get out and about? Should we buy a car?

Do I need to get my qualifications attested every time I apply for a visa for Dubai?

Hi,

I am from India. I want to know whether I need to get my degree certificate attested from my home country everytime i go to Dubai for job visa.

Actually i completed all my attestation work from my home country on my MBA Degree but later my recruitor informed me that the client is facing some problems in visa generation and unfortunately i could not go.

Now if i want to go for another job visa in the same country DUBAI, so will i have to get my degree attested from my home country again or not ?

Advice needed about moving to Singapore

I am Australian age 37, live in Western Australia with my wife 36 and 3 kids 14, 12, 8 I have a new job in Singapore and am going to re-locate my family there potentially for 3-5 years What do I need to do with respect to visas for them all to be able to stay for that length of time? What will happen for me tax wise? Will I be a resident of Singapore for taxtation purposes also? I have numerous housing investments in Australia which all earn me income there aswell? Life Partner Visa for South Africa - Anyone done an interview ?

I have been with in this life partner visa process for about 7 months now, my lady is from Taiwan and I am a South African citizen. I have collected a document from home affairs stating that they will be visiting my house to probably come and see if my lady and I are really residing there which is totally fine. I have also been asked to be interviewed with her at home affairs and I was just wondering out of curiosity what kind of questions will be asked during this interview? Thanks Juan

Visit visa for my spouse for Qatar

Dear EA's, i would like to know what all documentation is required for getting visit visa for my spouse processed after me landing to Qatar. does she need to undergo medical test @ India as well? I have provided all documents-including marriage certificate attested to my employer out at Qatar.They told me that i would not be able to bring my spouse along with me- instead you may apply for her visit visa once your RP gets processed.

What is a good neighbourhood to live as couple expat in KL?

I am moving with my boyfriend from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. He will be working as a expat and I am writing my graduating research for bachelor degree. We are planning to stay at least a year. What is a good neighbourhood to life? It doesn't have to be really big, just big enough for us two (and for me to study). My priority is clean and safe. Nearby the centre is of course nice, but not necessary if there is any transportation around? Hope you can give us advice. Thanks!

Moving to Nairobi with my two young daughters and I have some concerns regarding healthcare. What are hospitals like in Nairobi and are there any that focus on children's health issues ? Do I need health insurance or do you think it will be cheaper just to pay when I use the service - I heard that even private health care in Nairobi is relativley cheap.

Safety issues for expats in Johannesburg

Hello everybody, I am wondering to go to Johannesburg beginning 2014. I have an offer from my enterprise to work as a Manager of an industrial plant (20-30 people). I've been looking for some info about the place and first thing that appears is CRIMINALITY. I am really worried about this point and I want to make some questions. I would really appreciate that some local people (expat or not) could answer them in detail. 1) Personal security/Living conditions: It seems that you can only stay in your house (24 security system) and can't almost even take the car to go shopping.

Few questions on daily life in Bahrain

Hello everyone, I am contacting you because I received a very interesting job to Bahrain (Manama) for a period of about 2 years. I’m in a relationship, and we would have a few questions about life every day. I hope you can help us ... The clothes: We hear / read often that expats must have a descent clothing. What do you mean by that? Is a skirt at the knees is correct? ( except the month of Ramadan ) . Is a T-shirt (covering the shoulders ) is ok? Climate: Is it really insupportable for us French ? To what extent ? How do you handle it ? Bottle of water on yourself?

Do women have equal rights in Qatar?

Relocating to Mexico - can my employer still pay me in US dollars?

Hello, I currently live in the US, but we will soon be moving to Mexico and I'm trying to negotiate with my company to keep my remote job.

They are a global company with offices around the world, but I get my paycheck from the US office. They want to keep me as an employee, but I've been told that my situation does not fall into one of their normal scenarios for relocation because the company is not sending me there for a specific need - I am the one voluntarily moving.

Hi, My partner and I are looking into moving overseas, we understand that getting into America can be quite a difficult process but to be honest we have NO idea were to begin. We are both in the Royal Australia Navy and have been for 4 and 6 years. I have been reading about visas and how to get an E3 you need to specialise in a certain Speciatly Occupation or have 12 years experience in a certain occupation or have a bachelors or masters degree or the equivelant in our country OR a mixture of both.
