Hi everyone, My company is sending me to Dublin and I am exiting about it! I am moving to Dublin in december and I have a lot of questions: - Which area is it best to live in? (I am a single woman, and I will be working in north wall) - Is it possible to rent an unfurnished flat/house in Dublin? Everything i look at seems to be furnished? - Which Bank ? Mobile ? Home broadband provider? Thank you very much for your answer. Thanks Anne

Hi Anne,

Start by looking at the Dublin city guide or the Ireland country guide. Those should answer most of the questions you have.

The fact is that most landlords these days will furnish their properties as this will allow them to charge higher rents. But do shop around, you can always get lucky. Also read the Areas and Suburbs in Dublin page for an overview of the different neighbourhoods in the city.

Reputable banks in Ireland include Bank of Ireland, Allied Irish Bank and Ulster Bank. You can get more details on the Banking, Money and Taxes in Ireland page.

Hope this steers you in the right direction but do ask if you have any more specific questions.
