I applied for an A-1 visa through the local Ministry of the Interior office in Be'er Sheva, Israel. I initially came on a tourist visa. I gave all the documentation I was told to give. Is there any way I can expedite this? How do I even check the status? I have been offered a job in Israel but can't be employed until my visa situation is worked out. Thanks!

Is there much Expat activity happening there, or would we have to commute to Doha to eat/ shop/ play in our spare time? Is there enough happening to keep my wife occupied during the day when I am at work? Would really appreciate some information, as all I have been able find is info on Doha.

I have been offered a role with my current company in Qatar and am discussing with my partner at the moment. We have 2 main concerns/questions so any help would be useful. 1. We are not married, is this an issue when obtaining a visa for my partner to join me in Qatar. She would be looking for work once arrived? 2. We have 2 cats, is it possible to bring them with us, do people have cats as pets in Qatar and is vet care good? Thanks James

Study Abroad - Cork with dependents

Starting January 2015 my boyfriend is studying abroad at UCC for the Spring. We currently live together and have a 2 year old daughter. His program gives him the option to take dependents and/or companions. He has proper paperwork to show that he has been accepted to attend UCC and although he put our daughter and I as dependents it doesn't state our names. We booked our round trip tickets before they are overly expensive, but now I'm worried we won't be allowed to stay for more than the 90 days given to tourists because we don't have visas.

Can a non-resident UK national open a sipp in the UK?

I've been living in Australia for over 10 years, on home duties. I've paid (and am only one payment from completing) enough NI contributions for UK pension eligibility. My enquiry is back-to-front! I would like to build a pension fund in the UK while based overseas. I have accessible funds in the UK and am at a loss as to how to best put them to work there. I've wondering about starting a sipp. As a non-resident UK national, can I open a UK sipp with funds in a UK bank account? Would I do better move the funds offshore (eg Isle of Man of Channel Islands)?
