Car crash in Turkey - should we import the damaged car or scrap it?

Expert Info

Destination: Turkey
Hi There, We are taking part in a charity drive from London to Mongolia and have been involved in a pretty bad crash just outside of Gallipoli. All three of us are ok but the car got hit on the side by a bus going 100+kph and we are pretty sure it is totaled. We are all from Australia and the car is registered in the UK. I guess we are just seeking suggestions or assistance regarding import taxes etc if the car is not drivable, otherwise ways in which we can get it out of the country as to avoid paying hefty import taxes?

Hey everyone! Although my partner and I are UK passport holders, we haven't lived in the UK for a number of years, preferring instead to live up to six months at a time in different places across the world. This time, we're thinking of Slovenia, probably Ljubljana, although we're open to other suggestions of course!

What are the chances of finding a good job in Saudi Arabia without a degree?

My wife has taken a job with PMU in Al Khobar and I will be joining her initially as a 'house husband''. I am however, amongst other things, a project manager and will be leaving a senior role within the British government to join her. My question is, how difficult is it to find employment once you are in country? I'm also very concerned about the requirement for a degree against 30 years work experience, ie UK employment philosophy against the USA employment 'every job must have a degree' philosophy.

Hi I am an HR professional from Pakistan having almost 5 years of experience. I am planning to move to Dubai and have been applying to jobs from my home country. I just want to know whether my home country experience will be considered or not. Also as I am residing in Pakistan, will the recruiters take this into consideration to call me for an interview. I am comfortable giving an online interview but I am afraid the recruiters won't consider me once they see that I am not based in UAE right now. any help or suggestion will be highly appreciated. Many thanks and regards, Nauman Ali khan

Will I need a permanent address in San Diego to apply for a visa?

Hi, I am considering a move and, while looking through a lot of information, I can't seem to find advice on how to find somewhere to live initially. When applying for a visa, do you need somewhere to have somewhere to live/stay or is your current address all that is needed? And when you arrive in the USA, do you need to have a permantent address or is a temporary address enough to get you started? (be it a hotel, with family/friends etc)

Hi there, Some years ago I was offered and accepted an attractive job in Oman, but somewhere between the description and TOR's that for the job I had applied for and the contract I was subsequently offered, the TOR's were altered, most notably once I was in country with residency and work permits issued the salary was reduced by approximately 40%. Not being aware of Oman's favorable labor laws, and with the possibility of not being free to leave in the case of raising a dispute, I left the country without giving notice to my employer.
