What to see/do during short trip to Abu Dhabi

Hi, I am traveling to Abu Dhabi for a few days and am looking for some advice on things to do/see during my visit. Unfortunately, I am limited to only a couple free days as I am going for a job interview. This is my first time visiting and would welcome any insight and/or advice on what to consider should I receive an offer. Also, considering I literally only have 2 free days to explore, and I will need to make a decision based on my short time, would like to make the best of my time there. I currently live in NYC, how drastically different will Abu Dhabi be in comparison? Many thanks.

Jobs in Bangkok?

How hard is it to find a job in Bangkok? I'd really like to work there for a year or two, but I'm not really interested in teaching ESL. I've got a pretty good resume for working in online publishing or advertising, and I was just wondering what the process is like. Is it easy to get a visa? Do companies like to hire expats? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi All, I recently shifted to Abu Dhabi to join one of the government entity. I got the residence visa on my Indian passport 2 weeks back. Now, I am planning to call my brother and his wife on a VISIT VISA. When I inquired about this in my office, they said that I can't sponsor my brother. I need to get it through any airlines or any hotel. I have read through the internet and have got mixed opinions. Can anyone shed some light on the process for getting Visit Visa for family members. Thanks in advance

Job Offer in Abu Dhabi...is it worth it?

I'm currently working in KSA with a monthly salary of SAR 31k per mth for the past 2 years. I have been receiving an offer to work in Abu Dhabi with a salary of AED 27k per mth, which is lesser than my current earning. I'm having a big dilemma to proceed with the offer? Can I live comfortably with this offer with my wife staying together? How much saving can I make from this proposed salary though I know its ultimately depends on my lifestyle. Im struggling with my decision to accept the offer or staying in KSA. Of course, there is pros & cons for both.

I'm exploring other countries to teach English in as a foreign language. Is it easy to get an EFL job in Oman? What are the working conditions like? Are there big private profit-making schools there? (I've had good experiences with those). Any info on living in Oman would be appreciated. Thanks.

What is the cost of living in al Khobar for north Indian family. What will the cost of renting a house there be? Is there any Indian community in Alkhobar? I'm post graduate M.A (GEOGRAPHY) and i want a teaching job in al Khobar. Is it possible for me to get job there as a teacher and what will be my salary as a teacher? I also had a 6 month-old son. Is it safe for my son? Is al Khobar safe place for my family with 6 month old son?

Getting a corporate job in Taiwan

Expert Info

I'm a 50-something South African male. A couple of years ago I went to South Korea to teach English for a year and made some good money, but I am now too old to teach English according to South Korean law. I am now looking to teach in Taiwan, as I understand the system is different and it's easier to just go and get a job when you're there. Am I likely to face problems for being too old? Also, I have a corporate/sales background - what are chances of getting a decent corporate job as a first language English speaker in Taiwan?

Teaching English in Taiwan or South Korea?

I'm considering going to the East to teach English in September this year or maybe early in 2013. I've heard good things about Japan but the high cost of living puts me off. Is it more lucrative to teach English in South Korea or to teach English in Taiwan? Also, which would make for a more enjoyable year? Any advice or insights would be appreciated.

Moving to Oslo...is my salary enough?

Guys, I am moving to Oslo, Norway in one month. I was wondering you who live/lived there, how would describe the total income of NOK 700k per annum? (impossible, budget, average, high, incredible?) We are a couple. and with such a salary, what could be a reasonable rental per month which leaves enough money for the rest of things. I have no idea about it and would be helpful if you can give me some estimation.
