I am the single mom of three children (2,8,10) on an international assignment in London. I am coping with all the adjustments to a new culture, home, etc. but feel doubly overwhelmed being here by myself with my children, no spouse and all my family/friends back home. Is there anyone out there in a similar situation? Any suggestions on overcoming the anxiety and loneliness? Any suggestions on how to meet people and not feel so isolated?

Hi. I am a dual citizen and my US company has made me an offer to move to HKG (Kwun Tong Area) as a localized hire, not under an expat package. I currently live and work in Georgia, USA. I'd love advice from anyone on what I should be considering or negotiating in the process, such as: a) Salary (cost of living, should I be paid in USD or HKD currency, etc) b) Tax implications c) transportation (should I take public transportation or get a car?) d) housing (should I get pre-furnished apartment?) e) Cell Phone and Banking account (which providers should I go with)?

We are planning to move to Jeddah. We have 3 kids aged 16, 13 and 9. The younger one is a especial needs boy that should need extra aid in his education, some extra help at a regular school or maybe a private teacher at home. Any advice for this in this city?

Hi, I'm from India,currently working in a leading IT firm (almost 2years). But i did my engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation. I always had a passion towards my core and i had to join this IT company because of family financial problems. Now before its too late i need to change my career. And I'm in a dilemma.Being complete fresher to my Instrumemtation core, not sure as where to begin. I did certification courses in PLC,SCADA,DCS all and still technically strong ;)...need guidance on where to start and which place is better to work. Is Gulf a good place to start for a fresher???

Hi, I am an American citizen currently working in Germany. My wife is Japanese from Osaka. Does anybody know (I have done research already but also wanted to try this channel) what exactly is needed to bring two dogs (two Chihuahuas) into Japan? I would be looking into working as an English teacher in Osaka. A friend of my wife's used to work at Berlitz so I will go ahead and apply there. Any feedback on working at Berlitz? Thanks!
