Great forum! My wife traveled to Oman last month April with a working visa through an Agent in Nigeria. She paid Nigeria Agent about $1,000 and Agent promised IT Engineer job. She got the Visa to Oman hoping to resume in an IT company but on getting to Oman, she resumed as an House Maid. Life hasn't been easy for her over there. They've collected her passport. Pls advise, what Can we do? Life isn't funny over there.

Medical Insurance in Portugal?

Hi,
My name is Pam and I am from the US presently living in South Africa but wanting to move to the Algarve with a friend next year. I am concerned about health insurance and wonder if it is possible to get private health insurance for cover in Portugal from a Portuguese company rather than the exhorbitantly expensive international companies which advertise it. I have a British passport as well as a US one if that makes any difference. With Brexit approaching I don't think I will be covered by EU insurance but I want private insurance anyway. Can anyone help?

Job offer from the MoE in the UAE, I don't know what to do. Can people help??

I have just received a job offer to work as a PE Teacher in the UAE for the Ministry of Education.

The job is to work in Arabic schools. Due to the recruitment agency being fairly vague I have a number of questions to ask people. If anyone on here could help me I'd be greatly appreciative.

Help in the house for single guy in Abu Dhabi?

Tourist visa for contract/consultancy work in Dubai?

I have a 2-3 month contract in Dubai and have been told by the business that I can do this on my tourist visa. At the end of each 30 day tourist visa I would have to do a 'passport run' to Oman to get a further 30 days. Is this legal? Thanks

So i went the agency i done that all. after getting the Attestation, i done the arabic translation also.
We done our all documents Attestation. Including our marriage certificate.

UAE work visa?

Hello i have received a job offer in dubai and my employer has already started my visa procedures. Recently i got a better offer and i want to take it . I was thinking to ask my current employer to cancel my visa so as i can move to the other job . I was wondering cancelling a new work visa would have any consequences on my next work visa when is being done ? Confused about the legal impact of work visa. I have not moved to dubai yet and i do want to take the right decision . Pls advise !

I recently had a job offer as Head of Sales in Ghana, and during the interview they asked about what are my salary and my benefits expectation, my answer was: Net salary to Bank account not less than $2,500 + Commission, Accommodation allowance in a safe area, food allowance, car with fuel allowance, travel expenses if applicable, not less than 2 yearly flight tickets ,not less than 15 days yearly holiday, full medical insurance for me and for my wife when applicable and school fees when applicable.

How much chance is there of us finding work in UK when you are over 50?

I have been (in South Africa) for many years, but now we are wanting to return Britain as most of my family are there. What are the chances of us finding work I am in HR and my husband is in the paper making industry as a field technician. We are both over 50. Will my TB Scar and active Hepatitis B affect my UAE visa application?

Hi! I have a TB scar and a hepatitis B active. I am planning to apply for a job in any of the gulf countries where I can find vacancy for Accountant. I have been reading a few articles that for newcomers, they will be automatically deemed unfit if they will be tested positive for both. However, I have also read that it only applies to the professions with direct human contact. I am confused. Can anyone enlighten me on this? Thank you in advance for your help!
