What are the health provisions for residency in Dubai? Is oral herpes a cause for deportation in Dubai?

I'm 20 and currently have a residency visa via my father's job in Dubai. I'm studying in Pakistan right now and a few weeks ago have gotten Oral herpes (HSV 1). I'm aware that Dubai deports people with HIV/AIDS but what about HSV 1? Will my residency visa be cancelled if I try to visit Dubai? I'm not working at Dubai as mentioned earlier, I'm sponsored by my father instead.

Hi there, as far as I can see, the herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) is no cause for alarm, and there is no regulation for this flaring up as an issue with expat visas or work permits. You are correct that testing positive certain diseases and health conditions can lead to deportation or not getting a residence visa. Here on the Visas for Dubai page, this list of communicable diseases includes tuberculosis, leprosy and HIV/AIDS. This official U.AE government page lists further info, but oral herpes is not on this list.
