If i am working for my US based company from "home" in Dublin, and am living there for one year, do i have to pay irish taxes?

Firstly, what type of work permit will you be on ?

An expats tax status in Ireland will depend on your residency status. If you reside in ireland for at least 183 days of the tax year then you will be eligable to pay taxes in Ireland.

If your income is derived from within Ireland taxes should automatically be deducted from your pay cheque.

Expats are sometimes eligable for tax advantages but these depend on each individuals situation. Many expats hire a tax planner to help them make the most of their situation and to avoid double taxation.
