Hi, I will be moving to Abu Dhabi soon and when checking different apartments for rent, the pictures from the kitchen area shows no fridge, kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher. Do you know if the appliances are included or do you have to buy them? Can anyone advise on this? Thanks

Hi Natalia,
It is true that the majority of unfurnished apartments in Abu Dhabi do not include large appliances like washing machines and dishwashers. This makes the start-up costs of moving to Abu Dhabi rather high. Many expats who are relocating for a short amount of time choose to rather rent furnished apartments, though the rent will be higher than for an unfurnished apartment. Do you already have a job offer for your move to Abu Dhabi? If so, you should consider negotiating a shipping allowance or furniture stipend with your employer. This will help take some of the financial pressure off your move. You can have a look at our page on Accommodation in Abu Dhabi to see what other points you should consider when house hunting. Hope this helps! Rianca
Thanks for your reply!! It is very helpful.I will check now for furnished apartments.
Thanks
