Advice moving to Barcelona from UK?

We are thinking about moving to Barcelona from the UK mainly for a warmer climate. I have many questions if anyone has the time to help. So here we go.
What are the best International schools following the UK curriculum? We have a 10 year old boy.
Best area to live that has an UK expat community but with a Spanish feel, within easy reach to the beach and city?
Any advice on renting a house?
Advice on taking our cat and dog?
And any other advice you have would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Andrea,

There are a number of international schools in Barcelona that follow the British curriculum; please see this link for a list. You can also find a good summary of the various areas in Barcelona here, and advice on renting a house here. Any pets brought to Spain will need to be microchipped, vaccinated and certified by a vet. I would recommend contacting your local vet or international pet transport specialists for more information.
