My partner and I are looking to move to Spain from the UK next year. We will have sold our house and have sufficient funds in the bank to see us through until our pensions in 10 years time. We are not proposing to work out there and will be buying a property outright. Dos this fulfill requirements for residency. Thx

Hi Linda

It is always best to check with the closest consulate of the country you want to move to. It seems like you have a good chance of qualifying, though.

We have an article by a relocation expert who is an expat in Spain herself that should be helpful, and gives information about applying for Residency in Spain.

Have a look through our guide, which will give you an idea of what's going to be needed to make Spain your new home. It starts with Moving to Spain.

Best of luck!
