Looking for an apartment in Lagos - where to begin?

Moving to Lagos in a couple of months and need to know about how to go about finding accommodation. Are there decent apartment blocks. Where are the best expat neighbourhoods in Lagos? Help....any insights welcome!

Hi Wallace, expats generally tend to congregate in a few specific areas of Lagos - particularly on Victoria Island and in Ikoyi and Ikeja. These ares have a number of secure compounds and apartment blocks suited to Western expats. The majority if expats moving to Lagos have their accommodation arranged through their company, so you should definitely chat to your employer about assisting you in the house-hunting process. Accommodation can be extremely expensive in Lagos and it's best to ensure that this is factored into your relocation package.

Hello Catherine, I see that you do a lot of comments and therefore are very knowledgeable. I have been to South Africa and LOVED it!! Wow...trip of my life! I am now going to Nigeria and will be there for 60-90 days. Really could use your help.
