What is the cost of living for a family of four in Doha, Qatar, please? Excluding rent and schooling. Thank you

Hi there!

Rent is normally an expat's largest expense, and school too, for families who wish to send their kids to an international school. If your living expenses do not include rent and school then that's a large weight off your shoulders (and budget). Take a look at our page, Cost of Living in Doha which gives a rough idea of prices of goods for June 2020. Doha works out cheaper than other Middle Eastern cities such as Dubai, but there are still things to consider, including the price of groceries. You can also check out websites such as Numbeo where you can compare costs in a familiar currency and to your home city.

The cost of living in Doha also depends on your lifestyle, though. As you say a family of four, will there only be one family member earning an income for the family?

All the best,

Claire
