Good day all! My husband will soon be working in Hong Kong. We were just wondering when can we apply for a dependant visa if he will just start work by August? Is there a required period of stay before the principal sponsor can apply for a dependant visa for the spouse?
Thank you.

Hi there!
If you haven't already, please have a look at the Expat Arrivals pages on Visas for Hong Kong.

However, the process can take several weeks (normally six weeks, according to their website), depending on various factors.
For the application, the Immigration Department will generally require:
There's detailed information on the Hong Kong Immigration Department website and specifically their page on Dependant Visas.
If you'd like someone to guide you through the whole process, we recommend a list of Relocation Specialists who can guide you through not just visas but also moving, househunting, finding schools, bringing your pets, language and cultural training, etc.
I hope this helps!
