Hi! I am a 25 years old Portuguese woman and I have recently got an offer from an Hotel to do a 6 months internship in Dubai. They will provide food (during my working hours), lodging and a 500AED monthly compensation. How much should I expect to spend monthly for someone who's not thinking about living in large but having a medium quality lifestyle ? Thank you for your time

Marta - 500aed will not get you anything. It is about 50aed a meal to eat out, and to be perfectly honest a similar price for eating in. I hope your offer includes all medical expenses.

You will barely have enough money for your other meals. That is all. You won't be able to go anywhere or do anything else besides work while you are there unless you bring extra money with you. What about medical expenses?

I am considering a job offer in Dubai, the salary is approx. £45000 sterling. Would this be enough to live a comfortable life in the UAE.? I have been to the UAE on many occasions for visits and business, so am aware that it is very expensive. I would like to live in a decent area, in a two bedroom apartment, fully furnished. Any ideas how much this would cost. Cheers Bryn
