I've heard that Turkey is becoming a popular destination for medical tourism. Any one got any experiences with this? What is the healthcare in Turkey like? Are private hospitals in Istanbul of a decent standard?

Hi cornwall, private hospitals in Turkey offer a pretty good standard of care, and there are a number of good hospitals in Istanbul, with many of the doctors able to speak English. You should ensure that you have comprehensive medical insurance to cover your costs as hospitals will generally expect payment upfront.
