I think Tseung-Kwan-O is a good location, with a variety of accommodations to satisfy all budgets and taste. Also it is close to Kowloon Bay. http://www.scmp.com/property/hong-kong-china/article/1435050/expatriates-seek-cheaper-and-bigger-flats-hong-kongs-tseung There are also lot of flats/estates around Kowlooon Bay itself. So check our these property agent sites to have an idea of the offerings around Kowloon Bay or Tsueng Kwan O. The price is accurate. http://www.gohome.com.hk/en/ http://www.squarefoot.com.hk/ http://www1.centadata.com/ephome.aspx

Hello. Working in Kowloon Bay is nice! Maybe you can choose a place to live in Kowloon, perhaps Tsim Sha Tsui. You may check out DASH Suites: www.dashsuites.com They offer decent serviced apartments in Hong Kong, especially in Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay, with reasonable prices. Enjoy your stay:)

Hi there,

The answer to your question about how much you can save a month really depends on your own standards and lifestyle, but to get a rough idea have a look at the Cost of Living in Hong Kong page - right at the bottom of the page there's a cost of living chart with a few estimations of common prices, but the rest of the page has important info too. It also has an estimate of accommodation prices.
