Hello, I have been offered a position in Saudi Arabia and it’s a good opportunity but want to know given recent changes can I move there with my girlfriend (unmarried)? I can see we can stay in a hotel room but I am looking more long term. Any links would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and assistance

Hi Craig_Jervis, congratulations on the job offer! Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, unmarried couples cannot live together in Saudi Arabia, apart from staying together in a hotel. For more info on what it's like for women living in Jeddah, you can check out this page on Women in Saudi Arabia – if you are planning on moving there then it's best to be prepared for elements of culture shock. While many people can adapt, it can be challenging for some. Have you and your girlfriend looked into the visa options?
Kind regards
No. Not at all. I lived in UAE for 18 years (Saudi's neighbour) and it used to be like that in UAE, but now they turn a blind eye but in Saudi they are super extremely strict.
