Hi Laura,
Most expats moving to Saudi Arabia enrol their children in international schools. If you're looking to continue with the American curriculum, there is at least one school in Riyadh offering this. You can have a look at the Expat Arrivals International Schools in Riyadh page for a list of the city's international schools, including the American International School. There is also some info about homeschooling on the Education and Schools in Riyadh page – essentially, while homeschooling in Saudi Arabia is not illegal, there are no laws and regulations governing it either, and it isn't officially recognised. If you decide to go ahead with homeschooling, it's a good idea to seek out local homeschooling support groups for advice and information.
Hope this helps. Best of luck with the move.

Dear Laura,
we are currently in the same situation, planning to move to KSA by the end of this schoolyear. Have you moved already? My kids are currently going to private schools, but I am considering to homeschool my oldest. I am an educator, my only concern is where to find community for socializing. Are you homeschooling your children now?
Warm regards,
Raya
